Q&A about Yr 8 Camp!
Q1: If you were to give ideas for the next year 7/8 camp what would you suggest?
Q2: What would I keep at Camp?
I would like to keep everything of camp. Because when I went to the place, there were a lot of fun places. Like the gym, trampoline, and the park. But the most part why I would keep as it is because everything is incredible there. The view, activites, cabin, and really everything!
Q3: What would I stop:
I wouldn't stop anything because I think the camp is just right. Even the games, and I think we should do some of their games at school.
Q4: What would I add:
I would add when we do our rotation, Mr Hughes game. Because there is a lot of multisports we do in this game. And I really think it would be a awesome touch with the other activitys/games.
Q5: Why do we have such events?
Because I personally think it is a good thing/important, going on camp/event like this. Because this trip/event gave us Yr 8's confidence/improving as leaders. By experiencing this trip, this trip really helped me to become more a better leader. How I learnt to help people, service people other, being happy, and having leadership especially. Because those things makes a good leader, and I really learnt a lot from this camp/trip.
Q6:Talk about whare tapa whā and key competencies
All of the Te whare houses are my key competencies. Because each house means something to mean at camp. How at camp we been doing a lot of physical activity which I always try to keep being fit a least. 2 Taha Hinengaro and at camp I really controlled my emotions at camp by telling someone or just thinking happy. 3 Taha wairua and 4 Taha whanau at camp. Because I been representing my family by really being a leader at camp. For t\Taha Wairua being calm and also praying quite a lot at camp too.

Tuluinga Warm up task: Understanding Decimals using a Decimat!
Task description: In our Maths class. We are learning to understand decimals again. But using materials to make it a better understanding for us. Because last time we were doing the place value way and it was pretty hard. And I think this is a easier way to do. Because our material we are using, is a decimat. Which is really 10 square and in 1 square there is 10 pieces inside. And in 1 of those 10 pieces there is another 10 pieces. Which the big squares represent tenths, the 10 smaller squares represent hundredth. Lastly the smallest square represent Thousandths. Which makes it more clearer for us to do decimal. And also the video too really helps with our understanding of the decimat which we are learning to. And here up top is our warm up task, I'm posting up. Now I'm working on my other Maths work!

Back at school! & A Great Immersion Assembly 2!
So when we were at Immersion Assembly the first performance was from our Amazing principal Mr Burt. Who explained and show his hats and where each hats were from around the world. Which was so interesting knowing that he got his hats from San Diego, France, NZ, Aitutaki, Malaysia, and many more countries. But what was the most interesting part about his performance was when he showed and wear his Great Great Grandpa's hat from San Diego. And how his bag he put his hats is 100 yr old. Because that was his Great Great Aunt Marie.
Then after his performance it was then Mr Jacobsen performance now. And his performance was about his family culture and the clothes he was wearing. Which was cool! founding out he is Scotland, and how he explain about his clothes he is wearing. Just for you to know that each color kirt that they wear. Represent each clans/ tribes they are from. Mr Jacobsen Great Grandfather wear another tribe kirt. That represent how he was in the war dancing the traditional dance. Which Mr Jacobsen was very proud of his culture and what he was wearing!
Next it was Mr Sommerville and his peformance/presenting was cool! and also unbelievable Because my school and including me didn't know his family was knights/lords. Even him, until now which he explained about his family members which are all mans who are knights. FYI There were a lot of same names.
After Mr Sommerville it was then Team 1 and all of the others Team. Which Team 1 main focus was to focus on what other kids eat, how other kids come to school, and things related of school. Team 2 main focus was to just explore/travel around the world. Then next it was Team 3 and there one is similar to Team 2 just explore/travel around the world. Lastly Team 4 and Team 5 main focus for this topic is discovering where different foods are from ( Team 4 ) Myth and Legends Team 5.
My favourite performance was all of them, but a little more of Team 5. Because I love their skit and there amazing acting skill. Even my teacher was really good Wow! But I love all performances. So this is what happen in our immersion today! Below is the links to the video and Yeah!:)

My Recount of Our Special Assembly!
Hey Students out there have you ever had a special guess at assembly day? Who is strong and tall who is a boxer who came to your school? Well of course, Pt England did have a guest today and the special guest named is Joseph Parker. Wow! right? Which my school were so surprise and shocked. To have him in our school and even seeing him in real life! So let me tell you all about the special assembly and before the special assembly. FYI Joseph Parker did a speech and his speech is really inspiring.
So when I was walking to school going to my class ( Rm 11 ). Which this is my normal routine everyday, Which I find interesting I then start beginning my whole routine. 1. Putting my bag away in class. 2. Go outside and play with friends. 3. 8:30 am come back to class and line up. 4. Getting ready to go to Team 5 assembly. 5. Doing our Karakia and Mihi ( Which RM 2 did it ) 6. Hearing our notice from one of the teacher. Which That's the part when Mrs Tele'a told us that we have a special guest today. Which to me I didn't know who was the special guest but I was really excited though.
So When Mrs Tele'a finish telling us about our notices. We then Team 5 (Yr7&8) were getting ready to go to assembly. Which some people and me were excited to see who is our guest today. Which I was thinking of many people, but I never thought a boxer would come until, today. When I saw Joseph Parker I was so shocked and excited seeing him in real life. Because I'm a fan and others too. TBH he was really tall than I thought. But never mind about that, let me tell you now all about what Joseph Parker speech.
At Assembly when we finish hearing the Prefects/Rangatahi korero. It was time for Joseph Parker speech but first, he did a performance for us. With my principle guitar, which I never knew he could play guitar until, now. Because when I heard him playing he was really good! Better than I expected. Everyone was cheering for him and he did a great big smile at us. But now it was time for him to do his speech now.
When Joseph Parker was standing in front of the whole school saying his speech. I found his speech very inspiring, because Joseph Parker words to us is Believe in yourself and nothing beats hard work. Which Joseph Parker explain to us believing in yourself is worth it. Because you can achieve anything your goals or dreams. Like him, and he also said you don't need people to tell you your good. If you know your good then achieve being anything you want. Now the other word Nothing beats hard work. What I love about that word is that doing hard work instead of wishing to be is better. Because Joseph Parker was at the gym and he sawed a poster saying don't wish for it work for it. To him he told us pushing your self, doing hard work and being determined. You can be successful of being what you want. And also doing no work doesn't do anything to become what you want. But doing hard work can make you successful. Which I found his speech inspiring.
After saying his speech, Joseph Parker than sat down. All of us students and teachers were clapping for him. I found this assembly being with him special. Also his sister Elizabeth Parker too she was there. It was so cool seeing them both at Point England School. But now it was the time to continue our Assembly. When we were continuing our Assembly the last thing we did was to sing the Matariki song to him. Which was so cool seeing him having a big smile:)
But after singing it was time to go back to class. I think this Assembly is very cool and special. So this is how the Assembly went and before. I hope you enjoy reading this.
