Tuluinga Measurement 2! Task: Convert between metric units

WALT: Convert between metric units.

Task description: Hey everyone and I/we are back at school now! And the first thing we did for our programme was Math. But 1 thing was different today is our teacher is not here ( homeroom. So I am here in my literacy teacher class Ms Tapuke. For Math our goal ( her class ) we are learning is Math class is measurement, and how to convert between metric units. Which what we have to do is simply answer questions/equation. And show our strategy, then after finishing we did post it. I found this task quite confusing. Because it was to remember which side is X & Divide in Length. But 1 thing I learnt in Math is how to convert Capacity & Mass. Because I it was cool converting Capacity/Mass because I haven't learnt to convert it before. I hope you enjoy!

Because each week we have different focus/intention/topic we are learning. This week our topic/work we are learning is He aha to hiahia! What do you want? And I found this task quite simple, really because we just answer questions. And do then do our create task which I'm doing differently/seperate. So I hope you enjoy reading and 1 thing I learnt is in this task is  saying new words in a different language. Because I found interesting/cool! learning the culture of Maori:)

Q&A about Yr 8 Camp!

Main Question!
Q1: If you were to give ideas for the next year 7/8 camp what would you suggest?

Q2: What would I keep at Camp?
I would like to keep everything of camp. Because when I went to the place, there were a lot of fun places. Like the gym, trampoline, and the park. But the most part why I would keep as it is because everything is incredible there. The view, activites, cabin, and really everything!
Q3: What would I stop:
I wouldn't stop anything because I think the camp is just right. Even the games, and I think we should do some of their games at school.
Q4: What would I add:
I would add when we do our rotation, Mr Hughes game. Because there is a lot of multisports we do in this game. And I really think it would be a awesome touch with the other activitys/games.
Q5: Why do we have such events?
Because I personally think it is a good thing/important, going on camp/event like this. Because this trip/event gave us Yr 8's confidence/improving as leaders. By experiencing this trip,  this trip really helped me to become more a better leader. How I learnt to help people, service people other,  being happy, and having leadership especially. Because those things makes a good leader, and I really learnt a lot from this camp/trip.
Q6:Talk about whare tapa whā and key competencies
All of the Te whare houses are my key competencies. Because each house means something to mean at camp. How at camp we been doing a lot of physical activity which I always try to keep being fit a least. 2 Taha Hinengaro and at camp I really controlled my emotions at camp by telling someone or just thinking happy. 3 Taha wairua and 4 Taha whanau at camp. Because I been representing my family by really being a leader at camp. For t\Taha Wairua being calm and also praying quite a lot at camp too.

The Yr 7's & Yr 8 's Sharing time:)

5 minutes ago, The seniors just had a sharing time at our street. Which is our classes big space which we call it the street. And Why we were there 5 minutes ago? Because the Yr 7's & Yr 8's captains, were really telling their highlights and teams one about the past 3 days. Because The Yr 8's ( me ) went to our leadership camp and The Yr 7's were here at school. And What I found interesting about the sharing time is really their highlights. And being able to explain to us really. First it was the Yr7's captains who shared about their experience. And then it was the Yr 8's Captains turn. Here is their sharing time points/Experience to us. I really found both sharing interesting and important points. Because there were some important and really meaningful points. I hope you enjoy!

Tuluinga's Adding and subtract Decimals

Task description: This task was about adding and subtracting the decimals fractions. To the decimal plae which is the tenths hundredth and thousandth side. Which I found this activity quite hard because I was trying to do it in the place value way. And first it was quite confusing, but soon I get it now. 1 thing I learnt was doing my place value and borrowing numbers in decimal. I hope you enjoy!
